Chien Li Yen, the figure from Chinese mythology who together with his brother Shun Feng Er (fig.) was one day challenged to a fight with Tian Hou, the Mother-Ancestor (fig.). Chien Li Yen is generally depicted with the hand shielding his eyes from the sun.
