Butter Bean (plant)
A field with a food crop that is known by a number of botanical names, including Phaseolus lunatus and Dolichos tonkinensis, among others.
These plants bear green stalks with yellow flowers, as well as green, elongated pods which contain large, kidney-shaped seeds.
These edible, pale yellow seeds are commonly known as Butter Beans, Lima Beans and Madagascar Beans (fig.).
