Bordered Plant Bugs, which are locally referred to simply as Black Bugs, get their name from the fact that many have contrasting coloured edges to their elytra.

They are a kind of Long-bodied Bug in the family Largidae and belong to a group of insects, that in Thai is called muan mayao.
