A Black-bodied Skimmer, spotted at the Mae Taeng River in Chiang Mai. It is a male and is recognizable by its red abdomen, a very dark grayish brown to black body, and greenish blue eyes.

Its wings are transparent, with dark golden brown veins and a dark grayish brown to black spot near the wing tips.
