phayu (storm)
Enormous dark storm clouds setting in over Bangkok, with heavy rain already pouring out in some parts of the Thai capital. The Thai word for ‘storm’ is phayu, which derives from Vayu, i.e. the name of the Vedic god of the wind and air.
