Dusit Maha Prasat,
the Throne and Audience Hall located within
the compound of the
Grand Palace in
Bangkok,
is surrounded by stone sculptures of Chinese warriors.
Though none are the same, they all
look similar, wearing general's uniforms, having long
beards, holding a kind of long weapon in one hand, while
keeping the other one near their side,
with a bent arm.

These heavy granite statues are very similar to those
found at
Wat Poh
(fig.),
and are said to have been brought from
Chinaas ballast to
weigh down the otherwise empty ships.
