  Evil Eyed Tree

Vietnam

Two pairs of eyes hanging on a tree at a boat wharf in  the Mae Khong River (fig.) Delta (fig.) region in southern Vietnam. They are Evil Eyes that belong to traditional wooden river barges (fig.), that in this region are not painted on the prow, but rather made from detachable wooden blocks, that are removed and hung on a tree when the boats are in the wharf for repairs and maintenance.
