Apple Snail with eggs
Snails are generally known as taak or hoy taak, in Thai. This particular, commonly seen type, is known as the Apple Snail and lays its pink eggs in clusters, somewhat resembling caviar. In Thai this type is called hoy cherih, i.e. ‘cherry snail’.
