Fresh straw mushrooms, also known as
paddy straw mushrooms, and in Thai called
hed faang. These
edible mushrooms are still immature, with their caps still closed, looking
more like little balls than mushrooms, yet, if cut in half, one would see
the specific mushroom-shape inside.
