These elongated
and narrow shaped pieces of brass and bronze are a kind of ancient money known
as
ngun siyan and ngun dahn, i.e.
a type of
ngun lahd,
which is nicknamed
ngun reua, i.e. ‘boat
money’, for its shape.
It was used by peoples
that inhabited the
Mae Khong region.
