  nahm ton

Thailand

This typical northern Thai vase-like water vessel with an elongated neck, known as nahm ton, is used for storing drinking water. It is closed off with a disconnect lid, which is decorated with a lotus bud-shaped handgrip. Its shape is reminiscent of a calabash, which is called nahm tao in Thai and also used to store water.
