Mayong are plum-like fruits with a thin yellowish-orange skin.
They are similar to
maprahng (fig.),
but slightly bigger in size.
When ripe, they taste somewhat
sweet-and-sour, rather than sweet. Yet, ripe mayong have no resin in the
fruit, whereas maprahng do. They are commonly known as
marian plums
and generally referred to as
Plum
Mango.
