The ‘struggle with Mara’ (marapajon) during the maravijaya scene in the Buddha's life. Mae Phra Thoranee, the earth goddess, comes to the aid of the Buddha by wringing water from her long hair and thus flooding the demon Mara and his army. This saved the Buddha from the temptation of desire.
