A male Asian Fairy-bluebird. Males are black with brilliant blue upperparts. Their tails however, are the other way round, i.e. black on the upper side, often with a few blue feathers at the topmost part, and blue on the underside.

This species of bird preferably feeds on fruit,  like seen in the photo here, where it is eating from a papaya, but will also eat nectar from certain flowers and, occasionally, some insects.
