A wooden,
two-wheeled
cart, known in Thai as
kwian.
These
type of carts are traditionally drawnby
water
buffaloes
or oxen (fig.),
and
used to
transport paddy to
the
market.
As such, those
cartloads
stands at the origin of a
unit of capacity for measuring
paddy or rice,
officially called
kwian
luang
and equivalent to 2,000 liters.
