Besides the two
faint yellowish stripes along the back and
tail,
juvenile
Garden Fence Lizards
(fig.),
also have two distinctive black spots on the back of the
head, near the neck, as seen in this individual, that
was spotted near
My Son.
They
look like nostrils and are reminiscent of the
photosensitive pineal gland in some
species of lizard, such as the
Indochinese Water Dragon
(fig.).
