  a pariah's dirty job

 

India

India's untouchables (fig.), called pariahs in southern India, are often used to do the most dirty jobs. Here they are cleaning  the rail tracks in Agra train station, including human faeces, using just carton boards and without protective gear.

 

The faeces attract flies in the thousands which all fly up in a huge swarm when a train comes in.
