This 
creates intermolecular attraction on smooth surfaces, though for rougher surfaces, these geckos also 
posses claws, enabling them to climb uneven structures like some kinds of tree 
bark and other rutted surfaces. Jingjok have the ability to detach their tail to avoid capture by predators (fig.) 
and this individual, spotted in Varanasi, had a clear scar where at some point 
its tail was severed, but –as is normal– it over time regenerated to its
