Khanom kong is a Thai sweet that is fashioned in the form of a circle with a cross, and is referred to in English as ‘cartwheel candy’.

It is made from a dough that consists of a mixture of sticky rice flour and wheat flour, and fried in vegetable oil. The ones seen here are a variety with sesame, which in Thai is called ‘nga’.
