The Vietnamese
candy
bo bia keo nha
consists of a bed of sweet and
crunchy, yellowish-brown barley sugar bars, that easily crumble when bitten
into; slivers of grated
coconut; and some black sesame seeds.
Before serving, all
of these ingredients are rolled into of a thin,
crepe-like pancake (fig.),
which is used as a wrapper, akin to the Vietnamese
spring rolls.
