bai raka and hang hongse
Some decommissioned bai raka, i.e. ornamental combs (fig.), that ran along the upper roof edges of some buildings in Phra Rachawang (fig.), as well as antefixes, i.e. the upward curved ornaments at the bottom end of the roofs.
Here, on display at the Grand Palace in Bangkok, alongside some old cannons, they are in the form of swan's tails known as hang hongse (fig.).
