  Xi'an City Wall

With a circumference of 13.7 kilometer, a height of 12 meter and a thickness of up to 18 meters, the ancient fortification of Xi'an is the biggest still intact city wall in the world.

 

This place was once the capital of Imperial China and named Chang'an. Then, it was also the starting point of the northern route of the famous Silk Road.
