  Wat Phah Bong (Mangkhalaraam)

Thailand

The temple Wat Phah Bong in Chiang Mai is located within the old city moats. It was reportedly built in the late 15th century AD by Ngiaw people who migrated from Mae Hong Son and named the temple after their home village.

Among the temple's interesting objects are a bust of the demon Rahu (fig.) and large scale imitation models of the 12 pagodas in Thailand that contain Buddha relics of various years of the Chinese zodiac.
