Se-tenant stamp with a
depiction the Knight Grand Cross First Class of the most
Admirable Order of the Direkkhunaphon (ดิเรกคุณาภรณ์), also
known as Pathom Direkkhunaphon (ปฐมดิเรกคุณาภรณ์) and
bearing the initials ป.ภ. (P.Ph). The stamp on the left
illustrates the Pendant and Sash, which is overall dark
green with a red-yellow-white trim, whereas the stamp on the
right shows a close-up of the Pendant, which consists of a
star with eight silver and eight golden rays, and at its
centre has a red enameled field with a Royal
Garuda
in gold, underneath the
Phra Maha Phichai Mongkut
or the ‘Great Crown of Victory’
with a
yan
sign
(fig.),
i.e. King
Rama IX's
emblem. This decoration was created in 1991 by royal permission of
H.M. King
Bhumipon Adunyadet
in order to bestow on those who rendered
extraordinary services that are beneficial to the country.
It was first inducted on 3 December 1995. |
