Indian Rhinoceros (in the wild)
A young male Indian Rhinoceros in Chitwan National Park, Nepal. This one is about 7 years old and its horn is not yet grown to full size.
Here, at the foothills of the Himalayas, it lives in an area with tall grasslands, dense forests, mud wallows and water.
This species has three folds of skin across the back and one horn, that grows to a size of around 30 centimeters (fig.).
