Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden
The Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden in Chiang Mai (fig.) is managed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
The purpose of the botanical garden is to conduct and promote botanical research, biodiversity, and to conserve the nation's natural plant resources.
To this end, in 2015 a long and high canopy walkway was introduced, allowing visitors access to the canopy of the surrounding forest.
Besides a walk along the treetops, this latest feature also allows stunning bird's eye views of the area.
