Notre Dame
Cathedral
Basilica
(fig.) in the centre of Saigon, i.e. Ho Chi Minh
City. The edifice is 58 meters tall and was completed in 1880 AD, by
and for French-Indochinese colonialists.
In front of this Catholic church building is
a statue of Our Lady,
known in French as
Notre Dame, i.e. the Virgin Mary, the mother of
Jesus Christ
after whom this cathedral is named. |
