Thailand

Nong Prajak Public Park in the city of Udonthani is almost completely encircled by water and has just two entrances, i.e. the main gate seen here and located in the west, and a smaller way in in the east.

The park is located in the centre of town and basically consists of a large spit of land and an island, which are connected with each other by two bridges, whilst the lake features a family of giant inflatable Yellow Ducks (fig.).

Near the eastern entrance stands a giant Ban Chiang-style pot (fig.), which was erected for 121th anniversary celebrations of Udon province. The park is named in honour of Prince Prajak Sinlapakhom (ประจักษ์ ศิลปาคม), who is regarded as the founding father of Udonthani.
