A young male Nilgai spotted in the steppe of Rajasthan, India. Males or bulls have a dark brownish coat with a with a grey-bluish tinge, that darkens (fig.) as they reach maturity, as well as horns.

A mature male with a female. The latter has no horns and has a short yellow-brown coat.
