Some photos of the Nguyen Emperor Duy Tan, the son of Emperor Thanh Thai (fig.), who was installed as the new monarch by the French, after they forced Thanh Thai to abdicate.

 

This picture shows the boy Emperor Duy Tan after his coronation ceremony in 1907, surounded by some high-ranking mandarins.

Duy Tan reigned for 9 years, until he in 1916 was exiled to Reunion Island, together with his father, for rebelling against the French.
