  Myanmar turban (gaung-baung)

Myanmar

This musician, playing the saung-gauk or Burmese harp (fig.), is wearing traditional dress, including a Myanmar turban, i.e. a ceremonial headdress locally known as gaung-baung, that is tidily wrapped around the head in a clockwise manner, with a tongue protruding on the right side, that is to say, from the wearer's point of view. Here, the tongue is drooping, but in other styles it may be fanned out.
