Sat Taw Yar Phaya
Sat Taw Yar Phaya at the Mingun Boat Landing on the west bank of the Irrawaddy River.
Here, all visitors arriving by boat come face to face with this snow-white eye blinding temple.
The temple, known as the Myatheindan Pagoda, faces the river overlooking the city of Mandalay on the other side.
Downstream from the base of the staircase is the Pon Daw Pagoda (fig.).
