Mugger Crocodile
A Mugger Crocodile, also called a Marsh Crocodile, lying on the banks of a river at the foothills of the Himalayas (fig.) in Chitwan National Park, Nepal.
The designation Mugger derives from the Urdu word magar and means ‘water monster’.
The Mugger Crocodile is one of three species of crocodile that is found in the wild in the Indian subcontinent and the surrounding countries.
