During festivities and on special occasions, the Lisu girls and women wear besides their colourful dresses (fig.), also a flat circular hat, which is adorned with beads and strings, and topped with tiny pom-poms.

These colourful young girls were playing at the daily Lisu market of Kiw Lom, a hilltop viewpoint (fig.) in Mae Hong Son province.
