Bamboo Rat, found in
the mountains around Sapa (fig.),
in northern
Vietnam, where it is known as dúi nâu.
It has a short, near-naked tail, and small ears, that are mostly hidden in
its coat, i.e. a dense and soft, reddish to greyish brown fur.
