The
stupa
is
guarded by eight
chintha
that encircle
the base, which itself has the contours of a
lotus.
The rectangular complex,
built on a elevated platform has a brick surrounding wall, with at
each corner a masonry edifice. To the east of the stupa is the
temple's prayer hall or
vihara,
which houses a seated
Buddha image
(fig.)
and consists of an open,
sala-like
building, with a wooden roof and white enclosing wall. |
