PREVIOUS BIRD NEXT BIRD India

An Indian Silverbill, a small passerine bird in the finch family, which is found in South Asia and that is also commonly known as White-throated Munia.

This one was spotted at the Khajuraho Monuments (fig.) in northern India, where it was gathering materials to build a nest, using its distinctive silver-grey bill, which is conical in shape, with a dark curved upper mandible and a lighter lower mandible.
