  Hei Wu Chang

Statue of Hei Wu Chang at Fengdu Ghost City. He is a servant of the Underworld and is in charge of bringing the evil souls of the wicked dead to the Underworld. He is depicted with a dark complexion, a short beard and moustache, and holding a metal chain to bind the souls of the wicked dead, while wearing a long black robe and a long, brimless, black, toque-like cap, with the text zheng zai zhuo ni (正在捉你), which can loosely be translated as ‘is to catch you’. On his side is a plaque with his name in traditional Chinese, i.e. 黑無常.
