  Ho Pha Bang

Ho Pha Bang (ຫໍພະບາງ), which is often transcribed Haw Pha Bang, is a Buddhist temple within the palace grounds (fig.) of the Luang Prabang National Museum, which is also known as the Royal Palace Museum.

 

Ho Pha Bang was built in 1963 to house Phra Bang, the royal Buddha image after which the city of Luang Prabang, in Lao pronounced Luang Pabang, is named.
