Frog Hill Gate
This gate is the entrance to Nga-pha, i.e. ‘Frog Hill’, one of the 37 hills of Sagaing, of which the shape is said to resemble a frog.
Hence, the gate is flanked on either side by a large statue of a gilded frog. The hill is home to Soon Oo Pon Nya Shin (fig.), as well as U Min Thonze (fig.).
