The Dong Loc
Memorial, in Ha Tinh Province, is located at a junction
at the beginning of the Ho Chi Minh Trail in northern
Vietnam, which was extensively bombed by the American
forces during the Vietnam War.
The war
monument and park commemorates ten young girls, aged
between 17 and 22, who were killed on 24 July 1968,
while helping with logistics at the T-junction as youth
volunteers.

This statue perhaps reflects best
the extensive bombing
that this place suffered from American war planes in the past.
