A couple of Coppersmith Barbets in a Bangkok back garden. The one on the right is holding food. Coppersmith Barbets forage either alone or in pair and feed mainly on fruits, such as figs, berries and mangoes, but also consume insects, such as beetles, mantis and crickets.

They pick insects from leaves or catch them on the wing, and they are also known to remove bark chips from trees in order to reach invertebrates.
