Chao Phraya
Yommaraat, a
Thai nobleman during the reigns of
King
Rama V
and
Rama VI.
As
Minister of Public Works, he was influential in the construction of the Samsen Water Treatment Plant
in Bangkok's Phaya Thai District, the country's first and now a museum (fig.).
In the latter days of his life, he was for a short period appointed as the
regent of King
Ananda Mahidol.
