Chang is Thai for ‘elephant’ and Chang beer, one of the main brands of beer in Thailand, has thus incorporated two White Elephant in its logo, and designed the entrance gates of its breweries in Ayutthaya (photo above) and in Kamphaeng Phet (photo below) in the form of an elephant kraal (fig.), known in Thai as phaniad.
