Annually, during the month of November, the Bua Thong Flower Blooming Season is celebrated throughout the province of Mae Hong Son.

In this period a small kind of sunflower ubiquitous in this province starts to bloom, especially on Mae U Ko mountain in the amphur Khun Yuam (fig.).
