A Black-headed Shrike, the eastern variety of the Long-tailed Shrike, perching on a tree branch near Chitwan National Park.

It is similar to the Rufous-backed Shrike (fig.), but it has a black head, from the eye mask up to the crown and nape, rather than the pearl grey head with a black eye mask.
