Black-headed Ibis (in the wild)
Black-headed Ibises are waders and dwell in marshy wetlands, inland mudflats, as well as near coastal areas, including mangroves.
This specific individual was photographed in northern India in February and is in non-breeding plumage.
In Thai, this bird is known as nok chon hoi khao, i.e. ‘white mollusk lifting bird’.
