A Bamboo Buddha is a style of Buddha image in Myanmar which has been woven entirely from bamboo (fig.).

This one, in Nyaung Shwe, is ca. 3 meter tall and is seated in the lotus position and with a dhammachakka mudra.

It was made in 2008 by craftsmen from Namhu, a village on Inle Lake (fig.) and is currently on display at the Nyaung Shwe Cultural Museum (fig.).
