A Nepalese/Tibetan-style
bronze statue of
Avalokitesvara, the lord of
compassion, depicted with four arms, holding a
lotus flower, thus referring to his role as
Padmapani, a 8-shaped rope or noose,
whilst
performing a
namaskara
gesture, which in Thai is known as
namadsakahn. Characteristically,
he also has a figure of
Amitabha
in his headdress. |
