On the inside, the
Asokaramaya
Buddhist Temple
in Colombo (fig.),
has many colourful murals and
bas-reliefs,
depicting figures from
Buddhism.
Amongst the
murals is a depiction of the
Buddha
seated on the ground, whilst a
naga is coiled around
him and its hood covering his head. It is one interpretation of a pose
called
pahng nahg prok. |
